Hi, I'm Sampada!

I started out as an architect, which trained me to think in systems, understand how spaces shape behavior, and design for people I'd never meet. After working at an architectural firm I realized the problems I cared most about weren't in buildings, they were in how people interact with the services, products, and technology around them. So I pivoted to HCI to understand how humans interact with technology.

HCI gave me the research rigor to ask better questions, the tools to make confident decisions, and the methods to actually hear what users needed so I could design better for them. When I started working on projects, I saw how much AI helped me synthesize data to build quick prototypes for feedback, and I wanted to explore more. I wanted to know the “how” behind the “why” and I went back for a second masters in AI and Robotics.

Three degrees sounds like a lot. But I keep following what I am curious about.
